Technical products that are used under environmental conditions must be able to provide evidence of their ability to function under all climatic conditions. The simulation of higher and lower temperatures, variable atmospheric humidity or the investigation of the behaviour of a product during the demands of thermal shock, to cite only a few examples, represent the current status of technology.
Up to now, it has been only possible to investigate the influence of snow, particularly of the finest wind-borne snow on the product in the winter period, outside a test stand. This has usually been timeconsuming and was combined with high human personal and travel costs.
Innovag AG has developed a construction system that enables the simulation of snow conditions in a test cell or in test spaces, independent of the season. This means a significant saving of time and costs for the development and testing of new products.
It is also possible to test the success of measures changing the product quickly, because of the reproduceable environmental conditions. This leads to the guarantee of the ability of the product to function, increases quality and thus reduces the guarantee costs drastically.
It is possible to demonstrate that the testing of the aggregates under winter conditions, by the example of snow falling in a wind channel. The possibility to exploit the spectrum from wet snow to powder snow shows the advantage of these plants.
